The expedition

This is our flagship expedition: three days and two nights by boat along Palawan’s wild west coast, from the quiet bay of Port Barton to the karst cliffs of El Nido. The sea out here is almost yours alone. You will snorkel reefs that see only a handful of visitors, land on sandbars that vanish with the tide, and fall asleep to the sound of waves on beaches with nobody else around.

Where you’ll roam

Every departure sails the same four stretches of coast, and each stretch holds more good stops than one day can use. The crew picks among them each morning, with the tide, the wind, and the coast guard’s advisory in hand:

Port Barton Bay and the San Vicente islands home water, the first reefs, and often your first sea turtle.
Long Beach and the empty shoreline fourteen kilometres of the Philippines’ longest beach, seen from the water.
Malampaya Sound and the Taytay coast a protected sanctuary where Irrawaddy dolphins and dugongs still live wild.
The southern gate of Bacuit Bay the limestone rises over the treeline and you arrive in El Nido by sea.

Departures run on fixed dates from October to May, when the west coast is at its calmest: pick yours in the calendar.
Up to 18 guests per departure.
The route adapts to the weather and the tide, and the coast guard clears every departure.
In case the coast guard or the weather cancels a departure, you get a full refund, or you can reschedule or use your payment as credit for any of our other tours.
