This page explains what personal information Tropical Paradise Travel and Tours collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
What we collect
When you book a tour or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the billing details needed for your booking. Our website also records technical information such as your IP address, which comes with any visit to a website.
Why we collect it
We use your information only for the reasons you would expect:
- to take your booking, collect your payment, and send you your confirmation and recap;
- to reach you about your booking, and to give the operators, drivers or guides running your tour the details they need to look after you;
- to answer a message or enquiry you send us through the website;
- to keep the records a travel agency is required to keep.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it beyond what is needed to deliver the service you booked.
Payment data
Payments are handled directly by our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal, through their own secure systems, and by Wise or bank transfer where you choose those. We do not see or store your full card details. Each provider handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Like most websites, ours uses cookies, which are small text files saved in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work, for example to remember what is in your cart as you move between pages. Others help us understand how visitors use the site, through a service such as Google Analytics. These measurement cookies are not tied to your identity.
Who else may process your data
To run the website and take bookings, we rely on a few established service providers, each with its own privacy policy and security standards:
- IONOS, which hosts the website and email;
- Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site;
- Google, for analytics and email services;
- Automattic and the WordPress platform, which run the website and its booking system;
- Stripe, PayPal and Wise, for secure payment.
Security
We serve this website over an encrypted (TLS) connection, so information you send us through it, including your booking details, travels securely between your browser and our site.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to us at [email protected], or by post to Barangay Port Barton, San Vicente, 5309 Palawan, Philippines. We will act on your request and delete your data unless we are required by law to keep it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change takes effect once the revised version is published on this page.
