The Essential Island Hopping

The route every first-timer should do. The morning starts on the Starfish Sandbar, then moves to Twin Reef and its coral gardens. Lunch is a beach buffet at Peña Plata, eaten with your feet in the sand. In the afternoon the boat calls at Exotic or Maxima Island (there is a short trek up to a view deck worth every step), the turtle sanctuary, and Wide Reef on the way home.

A day off the water

The morning starts with a tricycle ride inland, to Bigaho Falls for a swim under the trees. From there the road follows the coast to Long Beach, the longest beach in the Philippines and, most days, an empty one. The afternoon takes in the rock formations at Bato ni Ningning and a viewpoint that opens over the whole coastline. Lunch is not included, but there are plenty of local places to eat along the way.

The boat is yours for the day, at your own pace. You choose one of three routes, set your departure time, and keep the crew to yourselves. Lunch, snorkeling gear and photos are included, the same as on the group tours. The price depends on group size, starting at ₱8,500.

Best season
November through May is the dry season and the best time for island hopping. Seas are calm, visibility is high, and the beaches are at their widest. June to October still works, but expect occasional rain and rougher water.

Every tour starts with a pickup at your Port Barton accommodation, around 8:45 in the morning for the island hopping. The exact time and every practical detail are in the recap email you receive after booking.
